Freedom to work on your terms

LOD (Lawyers On Demand) is an original New Law pioneer. We've transformed the way in which lawyers, consultants, legal, compliance and commercial teams work, and we're one of the largest and fastest growing flexible legal services businesses globally, continuing to lead the market we've created. In short, our mission is to help in-house legal and compliance teams succeed by creating smarter ways of working.

Our people are at the heart of what we do, and for the third year running, we’re proud to be recognised as an Employer of Choice by Australasian Lawyer.

Who are we looking for?
We're actively working on full-time secondment opportunities with clients operating across the property management, government and professional services/private practice space, and we're interested in hearing from property lawyers who are interested in joining us and commencing their secondment journey.

Some of the work you may see yourself involved in includes managing contract negotiation and advising on property ownership matters (including commercial leases), developments, acquisitions and/or managed investments. These secondments are to commence as soon as possible and will run for a minimum of 3-6 months (with scope for extensions).

To join us, you will

  • Have between 4-10 years relevant property experience, ideally gained from top-tier or large mid-tier law firms, and/or working in-house
  • Current Australian Practising Certificate
  • Be available to commence a secondment at short notice
  • Be commercially minded, have the ability to hit the ground running and manage relationships with all levels of a business

What sets us apart?
The life of an LOD lawyer is like no other. We provide our team with varied, challenging, career-enhancing work with world-class global brands, and pride ourselves on enabling our people to take control of their career and diversify their experience across a range of industries.

We also take work-life balance seriously. You can work on-site with our clients or remotely, undertake full-time or part-time assignments, or assignments that are simply for set months out of a year – it's your choice! Throughout your LOD journey and the myriad of assignments you will undertake, you will be supported by your LOD colleagues, have access to high quality know-how and training to assist in your ongoing growth and development.
