The Role
Our client in the Banking and Finance space in Melbourne (or Sydney), is seeking a Credit Lawyer.
Key Requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise and legal counsel to the Consumer Finance domain in accordancewith the priorities set by the Executive, White Label Partnerships and Unsecured Lending
Consmer Finance domain, Personal Bank.
- Ensure that the Consumer Finance domain is getting simpler, and more customer and banker
focussed whilst meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
- Balance legal requirements with simplicity and automation.
- Ensure that expert legal support is available to the Consumer Finance domain.
- On occasion, this role may be asked to provide legal advice to the Home Ownership domain.
About You
- Bachelor of Laws qualification and admission to legal practice in Australia, with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
- Demonstrated experience in advising on financial services regulatory matters (in particular
National Consumer Credit Protection Act requirements) essential.
- Experience and maturity to work autonomously and juggle competing demands in a very busy and energised environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, including prioritisation and time management.
- Credit law experience.
