Freedom to work on your terms.

LOD (Lawyers on Demand) is a New Law pioneer. We've transformed the way in which Lawyers, Consultants, Legal, Compliance and Commercial teams work. We're one of the largest growing, truly flexible legal services organisations globally, and continuing to lead the market we've created.

In short, our mission is to help in-house Legal and Compliance teams succeed by creating smarter ways of working.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in hearing from experienced Employment Law and Workplace Relations Lawyers to join us to commence their LOD journey at short notice to take part in some exciting assignments we're currently working on. We're working on both full-time and part-time assignments based in and around Melbourne.

Working with internally-recognised, industry-leading businesses, you will find yourself advising on a range of employment law and workplace relations matters across multiple jurisdictions including WH&S and investigations.

These assignments are of varying duration and range between 6 and 12 months initially, with the likelihood to extend beyond this period.

What sets us apart?

The life of an LOD Lawyer is like no other. We provide our team with varied, challenging, career-enhancing work with world-class global brands, and we pride ourselves on enabling our people to take control of their career and diversify their experience across a range of industries.

We also take work-life balance seriously. You can work on-site with our clients or remotely, or a combination of both, on a full-time or part-time basis - it's your choice.

Throughout your LOD journey and the secondment assignments you undertake, you will be supported by your LOD colleagues, have access to high quality know-how and training to assist in your ongoing growth and development.

Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to be recognised as an Employer of Choice by Australasian Lawyer 2023!

To join us, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Have 5+ years relevant PQE with a top-tier/mid-tier law firm (recent experience), and/or in-house/secondment experience working in Workplace Relations and/or Employment Law.
  • Be available to commence a secondment at short notice.
  • Be commercially-minded, have the ability to hit the ground running and manage relationships with all levels of a business.
