The opportunity 

We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Litigation & Disputes lawyer who is interested in working in Government

In this role, you'll work with the Litigation team of an in-house Legal division within a large Queensland Government department.  You’ll assist with an interesting range of matters in connection with litigation, disputes and arbitration involving government agencies, will help project manage challenging matters, and advise on strategy and the application and interpretation of legislation.

Whether you’re a lawyer with litigation experience from private practice or already have experience in litigation gained within a government setting, this is a great opportunity to experience complex matters and further develop your expertise and knowledge. 

In order to be suitable, you will have:

  • a minimum of 5 years PQE in litigation and disputes;
  • experience in court documentation and advising on complex matters; and
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

Experience in administrative/public law and statutory interpretation etc. will also be highly regarded.

You'll ideally be able work full-time but part-time is also a possibility so get in touch to let us know your availability!
