Who are we looking for?
We're currently interested in hearing from paralegals with commercial property and leasing experience. You'll join our team at LOD in Brisbane and work in-house, on assignment with one clients, a large national organisation that is well known within its industry sector.
Examples of your day-to-day work will include:
- advising on commercial leases, lease assignments, deeds of consent and other related documents;
- management of leases including tracking key dates, renewals and amendments;
- conducting title searches and due diligence;
- completing company de-registrations;
- preparing Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) notifications;
- drafting and negotiating bank guarantees; and
- conducting legal research on property law and regulations.
About you
In order to be suitable, you'll:
- have experience working in a law firm or an in-house legal team as a paralegal ideally assisting with commercial property, leasing and general commercial matters;
- have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously;
- be commercially minded, have the ability to hit the ground running and manage relationships with all levels of the business; and
- be available to work either 2 days per week or 16 hours across a week (e.g. 4 half days). You will need to attend the client's office at least 1 day per week.
